Dougrun's Fotothing

Denise and I live in a Riparian Ecosystem. This is the area within several hundred yards/meters of a river, stream and/or wetland. The dominate trees in a riparian area are pine, willow and cottonwood. The cottonwood is the dominate one here, growing very fast and getting very large.

This photo shows a large, very old cottonwood that split at some point and is now essentially two trees.
